Colorado Garden Show, Inc. is proud to offer its scholarship programs from proceeds generated from the annual Colorado Garden & Home Show, to provide financial aid to students attending a college or university in Colorado.

Full-Ride Scholarship

Scholarship Amount:

This scholarship includes tuition, fees, room & board, and all required books for the four years. In addition, the student will be given a laptop computer and printer at the start of their freshman year.

Number Awarded:

One per year

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must major in Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Biology (as it applies to horticulture/agriculture sciences), Forestry, Agronomy, Conservation, Plant Pathology, Environmental Concerns, City Planning and/or other allied subjects. (Approval must be granted by Colorado Garden Show, Inc. for any major other than those specifically listed above.)
  • Only Colorado residents can apply. The scholarship award will be for a maximum of four years.
  • Must be an incoming freshman at a Colorado public college or university.

College Undergraduate Level Scholarship

Scholarship Amount:

Full Resident Tuition, Books, and Fees for One year

Number Awarded:

One

Qualifications:

  • Be majoring in the fields of Horticulture, Landscape Horticulture, Floriculture, Turf grass Management, Botany, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Landscape Design, or Landscape Architecture.
  • Be enrolled in a recognized accredited college in Colorado.
  • Have completed at least 3 semesters with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Have successfully completed at least one course in Botany or Horticulture, and two courses in the fields of Soil Science, Turf Culture, Floriculture, Greenhouse Management, Arboriculture, or other plant sciences.

Post Graduate Level Scholarship

Scholarship Amount:

Full Resident Tuition, Books, and Fees for One year

Number Awarded:

One

Qualifications:

  • A graduate in the field of Horticulture, Landscape Horticulture, Floriculture, Turf grass Management, Botany, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Landscape Design, or Landscape Architecture.
  • Be enrolled in the masters or doctorate program to further their undergraduate degree at a recognized accredited college in Colorado.
  • Graduated from an accredited undergraduate program with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Have successfully completed at least one course in Botany or Horticulture, and two courses in the fields of Soil Science, Turf Culture, Floriculture, Greenhouse Management, Arboriculture, or other plant sciences.

It is the intent of Colorado Garden Show, Inc. to award the scholarships in the form of a full resident tuition payment rather than cash. For the full tuition scholarships, consideration for payment in the form of cash will be given for scholarships to individuals that can demonstrate that tuition is being paid all or in part by some other form of scholarship, grant, or aid.

Scholarships will be paid in two installments. The fall semester payment will be sent in August and the spring semester payment will be sent in late November. In order to be refunded for books and fees, receipt of payments from scholarship recipient is needed.

Note: Courses in progress at the time of application will be considered.
